Hey there, My Name is Ginny!
Here is a little bit more about me. . .
I am not only a mother, but a grandmother to seven amazing grandchildren, and a great grandmother to four active great-grandchildren.
My journey with autoimmune diseases began in 1989 after a traumatic automobile accident.
After weeks of nonstop pain, dizziness, numbness, loss of balance, and not being able to handle bright light – I was finally seen by a neurologist.
About a week later, my doctor showed me the MRI scans with a diagnosis of Relapsing-Remitting Multiple Sclerosis.
I was a young, very active, 33-year-old wife and mother of three children under the age of 12 at the time.
In addition to the Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis, I was later diagnosed with Sjögren’s Disease and Rheumatoid Arthritis, which intensified the symptoms I had already been dealing with from the MS.
As a result, I have dealt with sadness, anxiety & panic attacks, isolation, depression, extreme fatigue, chronic pain, and loss of friendships.
Through these hardships, I have learned how to find the joy in life again, so that I can help uplift others who are struggling.
